Area CAM – Calculating Object Dimensions and Area from a Photo
The intelligent Area CAM technology of the Vector 200 distance meter allows you to calculate the dimensions and area of an object from a photo. For accurate calculations, the distance meter must be positioned at a right angle to the object.The surface of the object must lie in a single plane without ledges or height differences. The laser beam is aimed at the center of the object being measured. The cursors can be fine-tuned to match the dimensions of the object, even on a static photo after the measurement has been taken.
Point-to-Point
The Point-to-Point (P2P) function allows you to measure the distance between any two points in space. This is made possible by the built-in 3D accelerometer.With just two measurements, the user can determine the length of a line segment, even if it passes through buildings or obstacles (a wall, trees, a fence, etc.).

Area Measurement
The advanced area measurement function calculates not only the area of a room, but also the area of walls, a triangle, a circle or a trapezoid thanks to built-in calculation algorithms.All you need to do is determine the diameter of the circle, measure the lengths and heights of the walls or the lengths of the sides.
Tilt Sensor
The Vector 200 is equipped with an inclinometer that calculates not only horizontal distance and height, but also the roof pitch angle or the length of inclined objects (the plane is determined by the line between 2 points).
